Leukaemia - Historic Rally

The Leukaemia Historic Rally was introduced in 1992 and since has prided itself on the number and quality of Special Tests it provides for competitors.

Based in the South Wales Valleys the Leukaemia Historic Rally offers 150 miles of the best roads South Wales can offer.

With navigation consisting of a tulip road book between regularities and special tests, with the regularities defined by either Jogularity style tulips, grid references, spot heights and other diagrams, the event will challenge the most experienced crew but with the option of a full tulip road book for novices there is no need to miss out.

The purpose of this event is to provide enjoyment for those involved while broadcasting awareness of the needs for research into the Leukaemia's, the need for blood and bone marrow donations so important for treatment and to raise funds for The Leukaemia Research Appeal for Wales.

Photos's for 2009 event by Brian Gilbert www.bg-photosport.co.uk'

This years event visited the MOD Training Area at Caerwent, Cwmcarn Forest and well as some favourite venues from the last few years.
Many thanks to all the marshals who stood out out in some appalling conditions, the setup crews for the tests, Caerwent and the Forest, to all the officials of the event, the house holders en route, Gullivers Van Hire, BAE Systems for the use of the test at Glascoed, Johnsey Estates for the test at Mamhilad, Forestry Commision for Cwmcarn Forest, MOD and Landmarc for the use of ATE Caerwent, Travellers Rest and Caravan Park, Earlswood Hall, The Rat Trap, Raglan Castle Mews, Ian Mills and Alan Jones for the excellent Brotherhood Results Service, the HRCR, the competitors and everyone else who has been involved with this event. With out any of these this event would not have been possible.
